1. Ownership & Legal Relationship with Mulika Studios Ltd
Mulika Audio Safari (MAS) (mulikastudios.com/safari and mulikaaudiosafari.com) is an official digital sound library, music catalog, and licensing division wholly owned and operated by Mulika Studios Ltd("Mulika Studios", "we", "us", or "our"), a studio corporation registered in Kampala, Uganda.
All financial transactions, payment processing (via our unified Flutterwave merchant account), customer accounts, data privacy management, and legal rights enforcements for Mulika Audio Safari are managed directly by Mulika Studios Ltd. By accessing, previewing, purchasing, or downloading audio assets through Mulika Audio Safari, you agree to these Terms of Service & Sync License Agreement.
2. The Audio Safari Catalog & Digital Offerings
Mulika Audio Safari provides cleared, broadcast-standard sound assets rooted in East African heritage and contemporary studio production, including:
- Original Music Cues: Pre-cleared musical compositions, instrumental cues, traditional folk ensemble recordings (e.g., Ganda drum suites, adungu, endere), and Afro-electronic productions.
- Field-Recorded Sound Effects (SFX): High-fidelity environmental ambiences, wildlife recordings (e.g., Crested Crane calls, Bwindi forest textures), urban transport sounds (matatus, boda bodas), and market crowds (Owino market walla).
- Sample Packs & Multi-Velocity Kits: High-resolution percussion sample packages (such as Ganda Drums).
3. License Tiers & Rights Granted (Epidemic Sound / Artlist / Envato Model)
All audio assets on Mulika Audio Safari are licensed, not sold. When you purchase an individual track license (LIBRARY_LICENSE) or active Safari Pass subscription (SAFARI_PASS), Mulika Studios Ltd grants you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual right to synchronize and embed the licensed audio asset into your derivative media projects.
A. Creator & Standard License
Permits synchronization in YouTube videos, social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), podcasts, web series, student films, indie film festival submissions, and non-broadcast online advertisements.
B. Commercial & Broadcast License
Permits synchronization in television broadcasts, radio commercials, nationwide ad campaigns, major theatrical feature film releases, corporate video distributions, and commercial video games.
C. Safari Pass (Subscription Access)
Grants active subscribers the right to download and sync tracks from the MAS catalog into projects published during the active subscription period. Content published during an active Safari Pass remains licensed perpetually.
4. Strict Usage Restrictions & Intellectual Property Protection
To protect Mulika Studios Ltd, our master audio engineers, and traditional Ugandan performers, the following uses are strictly forbidden and constitute copyright infringement under applicable law:
1. No Standalone Redistribution: You may not re-sell, re-license, share, sub-license, upload to torrent sites, or distribute raw WAV/MP3 files or sample packs as standalone audio files or sound libraries.
2. Absolute YouTube Content ID & PRO Ban: You are strictly prohibited from registering any MAS music track, SFX file, or sample loop with YouTube Content ID, Shazam, Meta Rights Manager, CD Baby, DistroKid, TuneCore, or Performing Rights Organizations (PROs like UPRS, ASCAP, BMI, PRS) under your name as an original composition.
3. No Software Instruments / Virtual Compilers: You may not extract samples or stems to create derivative sound libraries, Kontakt instruments, VST plugins, or software synthesizer presets.
4. Strict AI Model Training Ban: You are explicitly prohibited from using, ingesting, scraping, or feeding any MAS audio files, field recordings, stems, or sample packs to train artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning models, voice cloning systems, or generative audio tools without an express, written enterprise license signed by Mulika Studios Ltd.
5. Cultural Heritage Integrity: Traditional instrument recordings and cultural performances carry moral rights under the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act, Cap. 222 (as amended 2026). You may not use MAS audio assets in content promoting hate speech, unlawful acts, or unlawful defamation of cultural heritage.
5. Pricing, Payments & Account Registration
Prices for MAS licenses and Safari Passes are listed in UGX and USD. Payments are processed securely via Flutterwave (supporting Mobile Money and international credit/debit cards).
You must register a valid Mulika account to manage your active licenses, download high-resolution WAV/MP3 assets, and view transaction receipts.
6. Warranties, Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
Mulika Studios Ltd warrants that it holds all necessary master and publishing rights to grant the licenses set forth herein.
In no event shall Mulika Studios Ltd be liable for indirect, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of MAS assets. Our total liability for any claim under a MAS transaction is capped at the total license fee paid by you for the specific asset in question. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mulika Studios Ltd against any claims arising from your breach of these license restrictions.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute arising out of or relating to Mulika Audio Safari shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kampala, Uganda.
